We're using public transport to connect people and their local community to tackle loneliness.
Connecting people and their local community with the aim of tackling loneliness with transport. Everyone is likely to experience loneliness at some time in their lives, this project is aimed at giving people easy access to both finding and using that support. Meet new friends, get advice, or find out more about local services and support groups.
There are three ways you can use the scheme:
Community Hubs
Visit one of our Community Hubs located at or near bus stations in Walsall and West Bromwich.
Mobile Hubs
The Mobile Hub will be parked up at locations across Walsall with lots of information about activities in your local community as well as staff on hand to help with any issues you may have. Everyone is welcome.
Community Transport
Make use of our Community Transport, which offers door-to-door travel with a group of new, friendly people.

Shencare provide Community Transport services across Birmingham.
Group Transport
Shencare Community Transport has been providing an affordable and accessible door to door escorted passenger transport service for community groups since 1986. We aim to provide a friendly and caring service to elderly people and other mobility challenged members of the community, together with their carers, mainly in the South West Birmingham Area. Walsall Community Transport operate our Let's Chat scheme in Walsall.
Community Hubs
Our Community Information Hub is located at Walsall Bus Station and will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. Feel free to browse community notice boards for plenty of information about what’s on offer in the Walsall area. Or if you fancy a chat, staff will be available to offer support and direct visitors to other community and support services. Visitors can also find other organisations such as Citizens Advice in the hub delivering their services to residents. Everyone is welcome to drop in for a cuppa and a chat!
We can also create a separate meeting space available for groups to use Free of Charge.
Mobile Hubs
Our mobile hubs will be parked up around the community in Walsall. If you spot us, hop on for a cuppa and a chat! If you'd like to plan your visit, here's where we'll be each day of the week:

Community Transport
Group Transport
Walsall Community Transport can offer group hire to help local communities to get out and about. It is aimed at voluntary and community organisations, sports clubs, faith groups, schools, health groups and much more. Walsall Community Transport Group operate our Let's Chat scheme in West Bromwich.
Community Hubs
Our Community Hub is located at West Bromwich Bus Station and will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. Pop in for a warm welcome and hot drink! We also have a small separate meeting space available for groups to use Free of Charge.
